Solution
5 minutes — This is a classic 'worker-time-task' puzzle designed to make you overthink! The key is to understand the individual rate of one machine. If 5 machines produce 5 gadgets in 5 minutes, this means that each individual machine produces 1 gadget in 5 minutes. (For example, Machine A makes Gadget A in 5 minutes, Machine B makes Gadget B in 5 minutes, and so on). Therefore, if you have 100 such machines, and each is working on producing one gadget, they will simultaneously produce 100 gadgets in the same amount of time it takes one machine to produce one gadget: 5 minutes.
